Vehicles will have a much smoother ride when they head to the start of the Croesus Track!
The entire 5km stretch of road has recently been resheeted.
The road was in a fairly rough condition, so a pre-grade was completed prior to the crushed metal being applied followed by another grade and a roll on the hill sections. 300 cubic metres of metal has been used.
The road is being well used with around 15 cars at the carpark everyday, and the shuttle coaches as well.
Croesus Track crosses the Paparoa Range between Blackball in the Grey Valley and Barrytown on the Tasman Sea Coast. It's an ideal tramp for people new to tramping.
