Conserve Water Notice Lifted
The conserve water notice that had been applied to the Greymouth and Blackball water supplies is now lifted and we thank all the affected residents for their efforts to reduce water consumption.
Recent rain has improved river and creek levels, with all three Coal Creek bores now having good water levels. The long range weather forecast also suggests more frequent rain events, along with lower daily temperatures.
We are unable to say that there won't be further restrictions in the future, however, testing of the new 4th bore is looking promising and we are feeling confident that once commissioned this will further stabilise our water supply for future demands. The need for further restrictions will depend on weather and water demand patterns, we continue to monitor these and will keep you informed.
Once again thank you, everyone, we know its been a long haul and we want you to know your efforts big and small have been appreciated.
