Work is progressing well on the bridge replacement despite some minor delays in establishing a firm base to the depth required to find suitable load bearing ground material. All piles have now been driven and work is underway building a new structure onto the piles.
A reminder that this road is closed until the completion of the work, expected to be at the end of July. There is no access to the beach or walkway from Seven Mile, Rapahoe, however the Point Elizabeth walkway is still accessible from North Beach Road, Cobden.
