ROAD CLOSURE | POINT ELIZABETH CARPARK | SATURDAY 21 SEPTEMBER

Update 18/09/24: This planned carpark closure has now shifted to next week Tuesday 24th. This will be a full-day closure and potentially a half-day closure the following day. This is weather-dependent. We'll keep you posted with any further changes.

The carpark at the North Beach end of the Point Elizabeth Track will be closed this Saturday 21 September 2024.

This is to allow helicopter access, to transport equipment and supplies needed for the work being carried out on the Point Elizabeth track re-route.

The carpark is expected to be closed for the whole day.

This work is weather-dependent and if the weather changes for the worst the closure would be moved to the next fine day in the following week.

DOC have been working on the track re-route for the last few weeks. The track remains open to visitors, but sections may be closed for short durations during helicopter operations. Follow all signage and directions in place.
