He angitūtanga - The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accounts Payable Officer to join our talented and close-knit Finance team.
Reporting to the Financial Accountant you will be responsible for a variety of accounting and administration tasks relating to the efficient and effective processing of accounting transactions and month end reconciliation.
He kōrero mōu - About you
The role requires a high standard of accuracy and timeliness and will also be expected to look for and drive improvement opportunities in existing processes and focus on maximising the effective utilisation of all relevant systems.
In addition, you will have:
- NCEA Level 3 or equivalent in mathematics / high level of numeracy skills.
- Minimum five years’ experience in an administrative/financial role that included accounts payable exposure.
- Excellent time management skills and an exceptional level of attention to detail
- A good degree of IT literacy and be able to learn new systems and be comfortable using a variety of MS Excel based spreadsheets
- A passion for accurately completing a large volume of data entry related tasks
- A strong customer service focus and the ability to manage and appropriately prioritise competing demands
- The ability to operate well as part of a team, and demonstrated energy and initiative
- A proactive, flexible and adaptable approach with the ability to work well under pressure
