The Mayor’s Taskforce for Jobs (MTFJ) is a partnership between Local Government New Zealand (LGNZ) and the Ministry of Social Development (MSD), dedicated to connecting people with employment, training, and mentoring opportunities. We focus on breaking down barriers to employment and supporting local workforce development.
Our Community Employment Programme primarily supports young people aged 16-24, but we also assist job seekers of all ages who are facing challenges in securing local employment. Whether you need guidance as a jobseeker or are a business looking for skilled employees, we’re here to help strengthen employment opportunities in the Grey District.
