The Mayors Taskforce For Jobs (MTFJ) is a nationwide network of New Zealand’s Mayors, administered by the Local Government Association (LGNZ). MTFJ is working together towards their vision of all young people under the age 25 years old being engaged in employment, education or training within their communities.
The Mayors Taskforce for Jobs Employment Programme is in partnership with Ministry of Social Development (MSD), the purpose of the programme is to get at least 1111 people placed into employment across New Zealand.
Between July 2023 to June 2024, each council has up to $373,000.00 to invest into their district and create a minimum of 38 sustainable employment positions.
