Update 04/03/2024:
The work is scheduled to start this Wednesday 6th of March at approximately 9am and is expected to be completed by the 15th of March.
Work will be carried out from 7am to 5:30pm each day, however, there will be two nighttime closures on Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th of March. These will be full closures from 6pm to 6am.
There is no work planned for the weekend and normal access will be available.
We don’t expect any problems with getting children to school on time, school buses will be allowed to pass with minimum disturbance.
There are no plans to replace this bridge, however, this bridge along with 9 others are to undergo strengthening work in the near future, which is part of a wider tendered contract of work. We'll let you know more about that once it's been finalised and the dates have been confirmed.
