GREATER GREYMOUTH WATER SUPPLY CONSERVE WATER NOTICE *LIFTED*
Thank you to all Greater Greymouth water supply consumers for your efforts to conserve water while our contractor carried out important improvement works at our Water Treatment Plant.
Our Contractor was able to complete critical work, to ensure that pipework connections at the Greater Greymouth Water Treatment Plant, were completed to enable the connection of the new fourth bore.
While the overall works is still underway and the new bore is yet to be commissioned, this work will ensure improved resilience and redundancy. During peak times, the fourth bore means that the treatment plant will be able to operate three of the four bores, at any one time.
If maintenance on a bore is required or pump is needing to be replaced, the supply can continue as normal and consumers will be unaffected. This will provide improved security of supply to our consumers.
This work provides a significant improvement to our critical water supply infrastructure.
Thank you again for all the efforts to conserve water during this time.
The Greater Greymouth Water Supply Conserve Water Notice is now lifted.
