Blackball Water Supply | Boil Water Notice | Friday 30 August

BLACKBALL WATER SUPPLY - PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE COMMENCING FRIDAY 30 AUGUST 2024 AT 3PM UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

Council advises all consumers on the Blackball Water Supply that a precautionary boil water notice has been issued.

Due to recent poor weather conditions, Council has been unable to replenish the raw water storage levels, which are now very low. To ensure sufficient water is available, Council may need to take water from the intake in Blackball Creek, at lower quality. All treatment processes will remain in place and operational during this period.

Therefore, all drinking water should be boiled until further notice. Council will now commence daily sampling and testing of the supply.

Consumers on the supply are asked to conserve water during this time.

Council will update residents via our website and Facebook pages as the situation develops.
