Blackball Water Supply | Boil Water Notice | UPDATE: WED 4 SEPT
Weather conditions have settled, and raw water storage levels are improving but not enough to lift the precautionary boil water notice.
Council has ensured that water extraction from the Blackball Creek intake has taken place whenever possible since the precautionary boil water notice was implemented.
Weather conditions over the weekend and early this week have been significantly better than forecast and raw water storage levels are improving and were recorded at 47% early this morning.
Council continues to monitor the situation, and daily sampling and testing at the treatment plant, and within the reticulation is ongoing. In order to lift the precautionary notice, we require three clear days of sampling and testing.
Thank you for your patience while we do what’s necessary to stabilise the water supply.
We'll provide a further update on progress later this week.
