BOIL WATER NOTICE | GREYMOUTH WATER SUPPLY
Effective from 10am, Wednesday 9 April 2025 – Until Further Notice
The Grey District Council has issued a boil water notice for all consumers connected to the Greater Greymouth Water Supply due to possible contamination identified during routine water sampling.
Affected areas include:
Greymouth, Cobden, Blaketown, Boddytown, Karoro, South Beach, Paroa, Kaiata, Dobson, Taylorville, Stillwater, Runanga, Dunollie, Coal Creek & Rapahoe.
What you need to do: Please boil all drinking water before use until further notice. This includes water for drinking, cooking, preparing food or baby formula, and brushing teeth.
Council has begun the required testing and monitoring process. To lift the notice, three consecutive days of clear test results are required. We’ll keep you updated here and on our website as more information becomes available.
