Council would like to let residents know that a new pedestrian
crossing is being constructed on Puketahi Street in Greymouth.
The new crossing is to ensure a safe
passage for kids and parents when crossing the road from the neighbouring school.
Motorists are asked to
reduce speed and take precautions when approaching the crossing to get familiar with the new road
layout at this location. The crossing is still in the construction stage and signage will be erected to warn vehicles in advance of the pedestrian crossing. Council would like to thank residents for their cooperation.
