The traffic lights have been turned off and Taylorville road is back to two lanes. By all accounts this was a complicated slip to stabilise, presenting a number of challenges along the way. The construction team were glad to finally complete the works and restore the route. Councils Transport Team Leader and Engineer Dinesh Budhathoki says that the stabilisation of the slip helps ensure that this section of road will remain sound long into the future. Dinesh also said that other stabilisation work in the vicinity is planned to occur in the near future and will further enhance the resilience of this important transport route. The road was resurfaced today so be mindful of your speed on the loose gravel, 50km speed limits are currently in place.
