Since its installation, the new Blackball Water Supply intake gallery has been performing well, with current untreated water storage levels sitting at 93%.
Our team has been closely monitoring the water quality daily, assessing for the presence of E.Coli in the samples and continuously monitoring turbidity levels, pH levels, chlorination levels, and Ultraviolet Transmittance of the water at the Water Treatment Plant.
After reviewing all monitoring information and trend data this morning, the current precautionary boiled water notice and the conserve water notice have been lifted (as at 9am today, Friday 29 September 2023).
The water supply is now operating as normal and we will resume our normal rotation of sampling and testing. We will continue to monitor the ongoing development of the new intake gallery and expect the monitoring will show a continuation of untreated water quality over the coming months.
We thank all consumers on the Blackball Water Supply for their patience while the work to renew the intake gallery was completed. This work will secure the extraction of water from Blackball Creek moving into the future.
