We think we've sprung a leak!

Water usage has increased significantly at Blackball during the last few weeks, and at this stage we aren’t sure why. And we'd appreciate your help.

Water use was very high between Sunday 7th and Thursday 18th January, and again this week from Monday 29th January. With at least 50,000 litres per day, or 35 litres per minute, it's a significant amount!

The increase is likely to be the result of a leak or leaks, probably from underground pipes. The leaking pipe may be filling troughs or a storage tank slower than normal or something else.

Please check your water usage. If you’ve had something turned on during these dates, and suspect a leak is happening, please let us know as we may be able to help. If you've come across unusually soft soil or lush grass growth, that may be an indicator - please also point us in that direction if you've seen it.
