Friday 28 June 2024 is a public holiday to celebrate Matariki so there will be some changes to our operating hours, please find them listed below.
Council offices:
Friday 28 June - Closed
You can contact the Council 24 hours a day on 03 769 8600 for urgent or emergency issues, then follow the prompts.
Westland Recreation Centre:
Friday 28 June - Open 10:00am to 5:00pm
Hydroslides will run 12:30pm to 4:30pm

Greymouth Port:
A port staff member will be on call, please call 03 768 5666 if you require support.
Rubbish and Recycling Centres:
McLean’s Pit Landfill & Recycling Centre – Closed
Moana Resource Centre – Closed
Nelson Creek Resource Centre – Closed
Blackball Resource Centre – Closed
Recycling Collection:
Will be collected as normal on Friday 28 June 2024.
