Honey Cafe coming to town
Jennifer Harding from the Honey Cafe says the new coffee shop will be open from 10am to 6.00pm seven days a week. She says she’s bringing on extra staff and whipping up healthy treats for the new venture.
“We’ll have our delicious coffee, made with real milk from Your Farm at Bell Hill as well as amazing smoothies and milkshakes – which of course you can get with a dollop of our delicious honey.
“We’ll be serving up hot pies and sausage rolls in addition to more healthy fare, like chia bowls, croissants and wraps. There’ll be something for everyone.”
Council Community and Recreation Services Manager Nelia Heersink says she’s excited to welcome the cafe’s town component to the centre.
“We know Jennifer and her team will be a very welcome addition to the Rec Centre, with their amazing food and delicious coffee.
“Parents will love having acess to coffee so they can keep up with their kids, and our gym goers will be able to grab a healthy snack on the run.”
Ms Harding says the Honey Cafe’s famous real West Coast wilderness honey will also be on sale at the Rec Centre.
“It’s an exciting time, as I’m employing additional staff for this new venture, as well as bringing on more staff for the Kumara Junction cafe which keeps going from strength to strength. We’re open 9am-3pm at the Junction so this new cafe is a great addition to the business.
“I’m really looking forward to bringing our great service, excellent coffee and delicious food to a new audience in town.”
The new cafe is expected to open on 29 July.
