Welcome to the Kiwi Whānau!
Today, we proudly celebrate the diversity and unity of our beautiful country as we welcome new citizens from Fiji, Sudan, the USA, the UK, Germany, Argentina, the Philippines, Scotland, and India.
Becoming a New Zealander is more than just a change of status—it’s a shared commitment to our values of manaakitanga (hospitality), diversity, and community. We are thrilled to have you as part of our growing whānau (family).
May your journey here be filled with opportunities, friendships, and the warm embrace of Aotearoa’s unique culture and landscapes.
With friends and family in attendance, each recipient was presented with their citizenship award and a small kowhai tree by Grey District Mayor Tania Gibson.
