Council wishes to advise consumers on the Greater Greymouth Water Supply, that the conserve water notice is now lifted.
Thank you for your patience while we resolved this issue.
Update: 12:07 PM. We are pleased to confirm that the water break and UV Reactor are both repaired. We have recommenced water treatment, however, the conserve water notice will stay in place for the next 48 hours to allow the reservoir to build up.
We will update this post to confirm when the conserve water notice has been lifted.
Conserve Water Notice - Greater Greymouth Water Supply
Commencing 22 August 2022 from 8:00am until further notice.
Consumers on the Greater Greymouth Water Supply are advised that Council has issued a conserve water notice following a treatment plant fault early Monday morning. This affects consumers in the Greymouth, Cobden, Blaketown, Boddytown, Karoro, South Beach, Paroa, Kaiata, Dobson, Taylorville, Stillwater, Runanga, Dunollie, Coal Creek & Rapahoe areas.
Consumers are also advised to conserve water until further notice.
Council will update residents via our website and Facebook pages as the situation develops.
