Weed Spraying Programme 2022

The council wishes to announce that commencing on 15 September 2022 through to 30 June 2023, Westroads Greymouth Limited will begin the weed spraying programme. If you have any queries or concerns, you are asked to contact Dan Tangimetua of Westroads Greymouth Limited on 027 223 7342. Westroads Greymouth Limited is a Registered Chemical Applicator. NOTE: The public is invited not to take vegetation from the roadside for human consumption.

If you do not wish to have your roadside included in the weed spraying programme, please get in touch with the Grey District Council, Operations Department on ph: 769 8611 or download from Council’s website a “No Weed Spray Option” form, which must be completed and returned to us before spraying commences. Note that if you have notified Council in previous years, please reconfirm each year, as from time to time, properties are sold, and new property owners may or may not want to continue with this option, or current property owners may not wish to remain on the No Weed Spray List.
