Overhanging Vegetation
The Grey District Council in accordance with Section 355 of the Local Government Act 1974 and Bylaw NZS 9201, Part 2:1999 Section 215, requests property owners to remove, lower or trim back any tree, hedge, or other vegetation overhanging or overshadowing the road and footpath in a hazardous manner.
Council wishes to advise that, in the interests of safety, Council will be following up on any property owner that has vegetation overhanging or overshadowing any road or footpath and causing a safety hazard and has not removed, lowered or trimmed back the vegetation within one (1) calendar month of this notice.
Any person who falls into the above category should take this as a first notice to rectify any or all of the above safety concerns.
