NOTICE OF INTENTION TO GRANT LEASE OVER RECREATION RESERVE TO LAKE BRUNNER MOTOR CAMP LIMITED PURSUANT TO SECTION 54(1)(a) OF THE RESERVES ACT 1977
The land described in Schedule A of this Notice (the land) is vested in the Grey District Council as recreation reserve. Lake Brunner Motor Camp Limited (the Lessee) currently leases the land for the purpose of a camping ground under Deed of Lease for a term of 33 years which is due to expire in early 2024. The Lessee is seeking a new lease for the continued use of the reserve as a camping ground for a further term of 33 years.
The Council is considering granting the appropriate lease pursuant to Section 54(1)(a) of the Reserves Act 1977. Pursuant to Sections 54(1)(a) and 119 of the reserves Act 1977 the Council has an obligation to publicly notify its intention to grant such a lease by way of this Notice.
Any person or organisation may object to or make submissions with respect to the proposed lease. Any person wishing to make a submission or objection to this proposal may do so in writing to Grey District Council, PO Box 382, Greymouth 7840 or by email to submissions@greydc.govt.nz or via our online submission form available below.
Submissions or objections may also be dropped into Grey District Council’s office at 105 Tainui Street, Greymouth 7805. More information regarding the proposal can also be obtained from the Council on request.
Submissions or objections must be received by Council by 4pm on Wednesday 9 November 2022
Schedule A: The reserve is legally described as Lot 1 Deposited Plan 3449, being 1.5290 hectares more or less and contained in Record of Title WS8C/80. The reserve’s address is 82-86 Ahau Street, Moana.
