Conserve Water Notice – Greater Greymouth Water Supply
Commencing 4 January 2023 from 8:00am until further notice
The extended fine weather period has resulted in a significant increase in water demand. As such consumers on the Greater Greymouth Water Supply are advised that Council has issued a conserve water notice due to ongoing and very high demand, low river levels and our ability to extract water.
This affects consumers in the Greymouth, Cobden, Blaketown, Boddytown, Karoro, South Beach, Paroa, Kaiata, Dobson, Taylorville, Stillwater, Runanga, Dunollie, Coal Creek & Rapahoe areas.
Consumers are advised to conserve water until further notice.
We will monitor the situation and Council will update residents via our website and Facebook pages as the situation develops.
If residents require any further information, they should feel free to contact Council on Phone 769 8611 at any time.
We apologise for the inconvenience and will provide an update as soon as we can.
