Update: 30/01/23 12:31pm - The CBD is now open.
Roads that are still closed:
Leonard Street from Boundary Street to Herbert Street & Williams Street from Guinness Street.

Greymouth CBD is closed due to surface flooding.
No access from Preston Road or via Mawhera Quay (Train Station), Mackay Street or Tainui Street. Map of the closed roads is attached, red dot marks closure points.
We are receiving many reports of surface flooding and our contractors are out and about managing the situation.
Please refrain from traveling if possible or take extra care if you need to attend to business.
