Tasman View Road is currently down to one lane due to a slip.

Update 3:45pm 10/03/2023

Contractors are currently onsite clearing and installing bunding to keep the site safe and allow access.

Access is open to residents only. The road will remain one lane with a priority give way in place.

There will be intermittent closures for the remainder of today as contractors work to clear and secure the slip.

Resident-only access will stay in place until further notice.

Further Geotech assessments are expected to take place early next week and we will provide more updates when information becomes available.

Please resist the urge to sightsee and respect the privacy of Tasman View residents.

Update 9:15am 09/03/23

Tasman View Road is now open but down to one lane.

The road will remain open during the day but will close again

overnight.

There will be traffic management in place, please adhere to their recommendations. Foot traffic is currently not allowed, this is because the stability of the slip is unclear and this raises safety concerns.

A Geotech assessment of the site has been arranged, once this has been concluded we will be in a position to progress with a plan to clear the road and undertake any remedial work that might be required.

We appreciate this will be an inconvenience to local residents in the area, safety for members of the community is paramount and we are working hard to reinstate access.

We will provide further updates as soon as they become available.

08/03/2023 - Tasman View Road is currently closed due to a slip.

There are safety concerns about the stability of the slip, so the road will remain closed to vehicular traffic overnight. Engineers are currently assessing the level of risk and we expect to know soon whether foot traffic will be allowed.

We have been unable to visit sites above the slip so have been in touch with a local resident who will kindly be letting other residents know. We appreciate this will be an inconvenience to local residents in the area, safety for members of the community is paramount and we are working hard to reinstate access.
