We want to know what you think of our Draft Annual Plan for 2023/2024.
The Annual Plan sets out the work we plan to do in your community over the next 12 months and your feedback will help us to decide the next steps.
Key issues in the Draft Annual Plan:
- We need to decide how to pay for the cost of green waste disposal, which includes processing, carbon credits and waste levies. Council have proposed to introduce a green waste charge at our solid waste facilities. This will mean that those who use the green waste disposal service will pay for the costs of running it.
- The Draft Annual Plan proposes an overall rate rise of 5.63%. This rise is made up of inflation and helps Council to address key issues and projects around the district.
- Changes to Fees and Charges related to the Resource Management Act 1991.
We will be holding public drop-in sessions around the district where you can talk with Councillors about the Draft Annual Plan and proposals. Look out for these dates on our website and Facebook page.
