​Blackball Water Supply Update

The settled weather has allowed us to take better quality water from Blackball Creek, since late last week. Both of the bladders on site holding untreated water are sitting at 88% full, as of today. We will continue to take water in the coming days and expect the bladders to be close to full by the end of this week.

Water quality coming through the treatment plant has improved and normal plant operations are now being put back in place. This allows the plant to take water and then automatically adjust if water quality lessens. This will be monitored over the coming 48 hours.

Daily water sampling of both the treatment plant and within the Blackball township is ongoing. The Boil Water Notice is still in place.

Blackball residents can expect a detailed update in their letterboxes on Friday 26 May 2023.
