Pursuant to the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974, notice is hereby given that the Grey District Council, for the purpose of The Hit’s Christmas Carnival event, proposes to close the following streets to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period indicated hereunder:

Shared Tainui Street (Town Square) closed from 3pm Friday 06 December to 2.30pm Sunday 08 December.
Christmas Parade: Saturday 07 December, closed from 9am to 12.30pm.
- Albert Street (mall) - Tainui Street (Town Square).
- Johnston Street, Greeson Street, from Johnston Street to Boundary Street.
- Gresson Street, Gresson Street from Arney Street to Boundary Street
- Richmond Quay, Boundary Street from Johnston Street to Mawhera Quay.
- Mawhera Quay from Boundary Street to Mackay Street.
- Albert Street from Mawhera Quay to Mackay Street, Tainui Street from Mackay Street to Mawhera Quay,
Waite Street, Werita Street, Custom Street.
Christmas Market: Sunday 8 December, closed from 8am to 2.30pm.

Any person objecting to the proposal is called upon to lodge notice of his/her objection and grounds thereof in writing before 5pm Monday 25 November 2024 at the office of the Grey District Council, 105 Tainui Street (PO Box 382) Greymouth.
