Council commissions regular surveys of Grey District residents to measure public satisfaction with Council's performance, services and facilities as outlined in our Long Term Plan. Public opinion surveys are a useful tool to help Council gauge how well the community supports its direction and priorities. The resident satisfaction survey also asks some questions on perceptions of our district; these responses are helpful in measuring the success of initiatives such as the Community Economic Development Strategy.
We include the survey results in our Annual Report performance measures for the various activities and they also help Council to prioritise its future planning. The resident satisfaction survey provides useful feedback to Council on residents' perception of Council services.
